Hi! I’m smiling at this, as you can imagine. I’ve never had a bucket list either and at 77 I don’t intend to make one. They seem to me to be contrived by people who haven’t lived yet. My life has been filled with things that others consider bucket list material so I’m going to just keep living and see what happens next. 😎
Not a bucket list person either. Seems to me you're only setting yourself up for disappointment. What if jumping out of that airplane, that you've dreamed about for so long, only gives you anxiety you never knew you had? I prefer the subtle unexpected pleasures of life.
I don't have a bucket list either. I am pleased with my simple lifestyle. I think that bucket lists are a function of a consumerist society and wonder if people in places where sell, sell, sell isn't pushed at them every day find value and fulfillment in their lives simply living them. I believe there are more people without bucket lists than with them. There is immense satisfaction to be had from being loved and using small daily actions to contribute to the well-being of this world.
I am not a bucket list person either - does it assume lack in the assuming mundaneness of everyday, where magic might happen if we are present and paying attention, trying to outsource what is inward 🤣. I have things l would like to do, like jump out of a plane - attached of course 🤣. If l kick the bucket before then, so be it, l will be flying anyway. Have a great, magical day 😊
I don’t have a bucket list per se, but there are places that I would still like to go visit. Have you ever done a solo trip? Would that be something that you be interested in doing? There are certainly many beautiful places in the world to explore I don’t have a list of ones that I absolutely have to see but I do enjoy traveling and exploring new cultures.
That's a really good thing to put on a wish list, Irene. There are places I'm curious about but I'm not the best traveler. I'm willing to see where you go though. And also to watch documentaries about places of interest. I realize that's not the same but it's good enough for me. See? Boring! 😆
The only bucket wisdom in my repertoire is to never take the bucket of who I am to an empty well, and my life and heart have been full. It sounds like your bucket is filled, Trevy! Wonderful article!

Hi Paula,
Smiling here, too. No bucket list for me either.
This must be the bucket-free group :)
I can't wait to find out. Thanks, Paula.

I would know to expect the anxiety! And I agree. Thanks :)

Well said, Susan. I wholeheartedly agree❤️

Kick the bucket! Very clever, Simone😉

I really don't wish to put my things in any bucket!
It is kind of a silly analogy. The only thing I've ever used a bucket for was bird seed

I agree with your bucket wisdom. Been there, done that, never again. Thank you, Linda!
