Haven't we all had these experiences? Lately, I've noticed how the late summer light is leaning lower, the way it does when the year turns. The leaves do not call it failure when they let go. Neither should we. Everything we love moves the way the fields move, green, then gold, then quiet. Isn't that its own kind of grace? Looking forward to your return in September. I bet you'll have some wonderful stories to share.

*We just were, and then we weren’t...*

That is a great line. It ranks as one of the best summation of early failed marriage as *when we played house* that resonates with me.

My own precursor to another relationship, should it happen and that would be way cool, will need to be secure friendship first.

Have a relaxing (?) break.
